Jaipur, Mandawa, Bikaner and Arrival in Jaisalmer
Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur
Meet the driver at Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or hotel and transfer to the selected accommodation. Keep the first plan flexible for transport delays and check-in. Early arrivals may visit Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum or Patrika Gate. An evening Pink City drive or walk through Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar introduces Jaipur's textiles, jewellery and street life without making the arrival day tiring.
Overnight: Jaipur
Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing
Start at Amber Fort before peak crowds, stop at Jal Mahal for exterior photographs, and continue to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Add Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Panna Meena ka Kund or a craft workshop according to pace. Monument tickets and guide service are separate unless quoted. See our one-day Jaipur sightseeing tour for practical stop details.
Overnight: Jaipur
Day 3: Jaipur to Mandawa
After breakfast, drive into the Shekhawati region. Mandawa is known for merchant havelis decorated with historic frescoes, courtyards and carved gateways. Take a local heritage walk covering suitable havelis and market lanes; entry permissions and fees vary by property. Photography should respect residents and private areas. Sunset light is especially attractive for exterior architecture. Explore the regional route through our Mandawa and Jhunjhunu sightseeing guide.
Overnight: Mandawa
Day 4: Mandawa to Bikaner
Leave after breakfast for Bikaner. After hotel check-in, visit Junagarh Fort if current hours and arrival time allow; otherwise keep it for the next morning. Its palace rooms, courtyards and museum collections deserve an unrushed visit. Rampuria Haveli street and the old market can be explored later. The National Research Centre on Camel or Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok may be added only after considering opening hours, traveller interest and route time.
Overnight: Bikaner
Day 5: Bikaner to Jaisalmer
Complete any priority Bikaner stop in the morning, then start the long transfer to Jaisalmer. Plan a meal break and short comfort stops instead of adding major detours. On arrival, check in and keep the evening relaxed at Gadisar Lake or around the outer fort lanes if daylight remains. Main fort and haveli sightseeing is planned for Day 6. Refer to our Bikaner sightseeing cab page for optional local attractions.
Overnight: Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Mount Abu, Ranakpur and Udaipur
Day 6: Jaisalmer Sightseeing and Desert
Explore Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples subject to access, Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Later continue towards the dunes, optionally visiting Kuldhara. Camel rides, jeep activities, cultural programmes and dinner depend on the chosen camp and season. Confirm tent category, attached washroom, meals, hot water and transfers before booking. Our Jaisalmer sightseeing guide explains the core city circuit.
Overnight: Jaisalmer / selected desert camp
Day 7: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur
Travel to Jodhpur after breakfast. Depending on departure time and traffic, visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada after arrival or shift them to the next morning. The Clock Tower, Sardar Market, Toorji Ka Jhalra and a short Blue City walk are flexible evening options. Do not promise every attraction on this transfer day; the fort has extensive galleries and needs enough time before closing. See our Jodhpur sightseeing tour.
Overnight: Jodhpur
Day 8: Jodhpur to Mount Abu
Complete the principal Jodhpur attraction that could not be covered on Day 7, then leave for Mount Abu. This is another long road sector, so a very early start may be needed if sightseeing is retained. Use planned meal and comfort breaks. After hill-station check-in, take only a gentle Nakki Lake walk or nearby market visit if time and energy permit. Avoid relying on fixed sunset timing after a long transfer.
Overnight: Mount Abu
Day 9: Mount Abu to Udaipur via Ranakpur
Visit Dilwara Jain Temples early subject to current access, dress and personal-item rules, then begin the drive towards Ranakpur. Explore the Jain temple's intricate marble pillars and domes during permitted visitor hours. Continue to Udaipur through the Aravalli landscape. The exact road and travel time depend on conditions, so lunch and comfort stops should be planned. After check-in, enjoy a short lakeside walk only if arrival is comfortable.
Overnight: Udaipur
Day 10: Udaipur Sightseeing
Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari and Fateh Sagar Lake. Add Bagore Ki Haveli, Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, Badi Lake or the Vintage Car Museum according to interest and daylight. A Lake Pichola boat ride is optional and depends on weather, water conditions, operating schedule and ticket availability. Evening cultural performances require separate tickets and timely arrival. Compare options on our Udaipur sightseeing tour.
Overnight: Udaipur

Pushkar, Ajmer, Jaipur and Ranthambore Wildlife Finish
Day 11: Udaipur to Pushkar
Check out after breakfast and drive to Pushkar with sensible refreshment stops. After arrival, visit the sacred lake ghats, Brahma Temple and old bazaar according to current access. Shoes, photography and conduct may be restricted at religious places, so follow local instructions. Sunset can be enjoyed from a suitable lakeside or hill viewpoint depending on weather, walking ability and daylight. Keep the evening peaceful after the road journey.
Overnight: Pushkar
Day 12: Pushkar to Jaipur via Ajmer
Leave Pushkar for Ajmer and visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah if desired. Dress modestly, carry limited belongings and follow on-site security and entry rules. Optional stops may include Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra or Ana Sagar, subject to time and access. Continue to Jaipur and check in. This pilgrimage combination is covered in more detail on our Ajmer Pushkar tour package page.
Overnight: Jaipur
Day 13: Jaipur to Ranthambore
Travel from Jaipur to Sawai Madhopur after breakfast. On arrival, check in and complete safari documentation with the authorised booking provider. If time permits, visit a local craft centre, Ganesh temple route area or a suitable nearby viewpoint. Ranthambore Fort may require substantial walking and steps, so choose it according to available time and mobility. Keep original identification matching the safari reservation.
Overnight: Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur
Day 14: Ranthambore Safari and Local Sightseeing
Take a morning or afternoon shared canter or gypsy safari according to the confirmed permit. Zone, vehicle type and reporting time are controlled by the authorised system and availability. Wildlife sightings, including tigers, are never guaranteed. Carry the required original ID, follow the naturalist's safety directions and avoid loud noise or feeding animals. A second safari or Ranthambore Fort visit is optional and must be booked or timed separately. Review our Ranthambore tour package.
Overnight: Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur
Day 15: Ranthambore to Jaipur and Departure
After breakfast, check out and return to Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or another agreed city point. The road journey can take several hours depending on traffic and stops. Book a sufficiently late flight or train and keep a generous reporting-time margin. For an early departure, add another Jaipur night instead of risking the same-day connection. The final sequence can also be reversed or adjusted before confirmation.

Hotel, Safari, Camp and Vehicle Planning
The tour can be cab-only or hotel-inclusive. A sedan is practical for two or three passengers with limited luggage, an Innova-style SUV offers families more comfort on repeated long drives, and a larger group can reserve a Tempo Traveller in Jaipur. Ask for room category, meal plan, desert-camp facilities, safari terms, taxes, parking and cancellation rules in writing.
October to March is usually comfortable, while summer travel requires early starts, hydration and careful wildlife-park planning. Mandawa heritage hotels, Mount Abu hill properties and Ranthambore resorts vary in stairs, lifts, parking and accessibility. Travellers with mobility needs should confirm room location and walking requirements. Carry identification, regular medicines, comfortable shoes, sun protection and a light layer for winter safaris.
