Days 1–4

Jaipur, Pushkar and Arrival in the Blue City

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur

Meet the driver at Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or hotel and transfer to the selected accommodation. Keep the arrival plan flexible for transport delays and check-in. Early arrivals may visit Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum or Patrika Gate. An evening Pink City drive or walk through Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar introduces Jaipur's textiles, jewellery and snacks without making the first day tiring.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Start at Amber Fort before peak crowds, then stop at Jal Mahal for exterior photographs. Continue to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Add Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Panna Meena ka Kund or a craft demonstration according to pace. Tickets and guide service remain separate unless quoted. See our one-day Jaipur sightseeing tour.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 3: Jaipur to Pushkar

Drive towards Pushkar, with an optional Ajmer stop when agreed in advance. Visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah with modest clothing and follow local entry instructions. In Pushkar, explore the sacred lake ghats, Brahma Temple and old bazaar. Shoes and photography may be restricted at religious sites. Sunset can be enjoyed from a suitable lakeside or hill viewpoint depending on weather and walking ability. Compare our Ajmer Pushkar package.

Overnight: Pushkar

Day 4: Pushkar to Jodhpur

After breakfast, travel approximately 185–200 km to Jodhpur. With a refreshment break, the drive normally takes four to five hours depending on road and traffic conditions. After check-in, explore Clock Tower, Sardar Market or Toorji Ka Jhalra, or take a short Blue City walk. Save the main fort circuit for the next morning.

Overnight: Jodhpur

Days 5–9

Jodhpur to Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Mandawa and Udaipur

Day 5: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Before departure, complete the principal Jodhpur circuit with Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and an agreed old-city stop if these were not covered on arrival day. Continue towards Jaisalmer across western Rajasthan. An Osian detour is possible only when timing permits. After check-in, keep the evening light at Gadisar Lake or near the fort's outer lanes. See our Jodhpur sightseeing cab guide.

Overnight: Jaisalmer

Day 6: Jaisalmer Sightseeing and Desert

Explore Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples subject to access, Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Later, continue via Kuldhara or another agreed heritage stop towards the dunes. Camel rides, jeep activities, cultural programmes and dinner depend on the selected camp and season. Confirm tent type, washroom, hot water, meals and transfers in writing. Read our Jaisalmer sightseeing guide.

Overnight: Jaisalmer / selected desert camp

Day 7: Jaisalmer to Bikaner

Start after breakfast for Bikaner, a long intercity transfer. Plan a meal stop and brief comfort breaks. If arrival is early enough, visit Rampuria Haveli street or browse the old market. Keep Junagarh Fort for the next morning so its palace rooms and museum galleries are not rushed close to closing time.

Overnight: Bikaner

Day 8: Bikaner to Mandawa

Begin with Junagarh Fort and choose the National Research Centre on Camel or another agreed local attraction. Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok should be selected only after considering its setting and route time. Continue to Mandawa in Shekhawati. Before sunset, take a guided walk past frescoed havelis and old trading houses. See our Bikaner sightseeing cabs.

Overnight: Mandawa

Day 9: Mandawa to Udaipur

Depart very early because this is one of the longest road sectors, approximately 400–430 km depending on route and hotel location. Use planned meal and rest stops and avoid major detours. After reaching Udaipur, check in and rest. Consider only a short lakeside walk if arrival is comfortable; do not depend on a fixed boat schedule after the long drive.

Days 10–14

Udaipur, Ranakpur, Two Mount Abu Nights and Jaipur Departure

Day 10: Udaipur Sightseeing

Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari, followed by Fateh Sagar Lake. According to daylight and interest, add Bagore Ki Haveli, Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, Badi Lake or the Vintage Car Museum. A Lake Pichola boat ride is optional and depends on weather, water conditions, schedule and ticket availability. Compare stops on our Udaipur sightseeing tour.

Overnight: Udaipur

Day 11: Udaipur to Mount Abu via Ranakpur

Leave after breakfast and travel towards Ranakpur Jain Temple, known for its intricate marble pillars and domes. Temple opening hours, dress code, photography and personal-item rules can change, so follow on-site instructions. After the visit, continue through the Aravalli landscape to Mount Abu and check in. This route is longer than a direct transfer, so start on time and keep lunch and comfort stops planned.

Overnight: Mount Abu

Day 12: Mount Abu Sightseeing

Begin with Dilwara Jain Temples subject to current access and queue conditions. Continue to Nakki Lake, Guru Shikhar or another agreed viewpoint, and consider Achalgarh or a forest stop according to pace. Boating is optional and weather dependent. Two Mount Abu nights let families and senior travellers enjoy the hill station without a same-day return. Explore our Mount Abu sightseeing cabs.

Overnight: Mount Abu

Day 13: Mount Abu to Jaipur

Check out early for the long drive back to Jaipur. The sector can take most of the day depending on traffic, road conditions and stops, so use scheduled meal and comfort breaks. After Jaipur check-in, keep the evening free for rest, a nearby market or final souvenir shopping. Avoid adding ticketed monuments with fixed closing times after the long journey.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 14: Departure from Jaipur

After breakfast, check out according to hotel policy and transfer to Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or another agreed city location. For a late departure, a nearby craft workshop or shopping stop may be added after confirming luggage storage. Keep sufficient reporting-time margin for city traffic, airport security and railway-platform access.

Ask for room type, meal plan, camp facilities, taxes, tolls, parking and cancellation conditions in writing.

October to March is generally comfortable, while summer travel requires early starts and extra hydration. Mandawa heritage properties and Mount Abu hotels vary widely in access and parking; travellers with mobility needs should confirm lifts, steps and room location.
