Route, Distances and Suggested Night Distribution
The suggested plan is Jaipur 2 nights, Pushkar 1 night, Ranthambore 2 nights and Agra 2 nights, followed by Delhi drop on Day 8. Jaipur to Pushkar is approximately 145 km, Pushkar to Ranthambore 275–300 km, Ranthambore to Agra 265–290 km and Agra to Delhi approximately 230 km. Actual time changes with hotel location, traffic, road conditions and stops.
Guests arriving late in Jaipur or taking an early flight from Delhi should add a night. The route can be reversed, but safari dates and permits should be fixed before hotels and transfers are finalised.
Detailed 7 Nights and 8 Days Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur and Relaxed City Introduction
Meet your driver at Jaipur Airport, station, bus stand or hotel and transfer to your stay. Depending on arrival time, begin with Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum exterior, Patrika Gate or Bapu Bazaar. Early arrivals may add City Palace or Jantar Mantar after checking entry timings. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 2: Amber Fort and Jaipur Sightseeing
Start early at Amber Fort, then stop at Jal Mahal viewpoint. Continue to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal façade. If time permits, add Gaitore ki Chhatriyan, Nahargarh Fort or a handicraft workshop. The sequence can change for traffic and opening hours. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 3: Jaipur to Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar after breakfast. Visit the Brahma Temple area with respectful dress and temple etiquette, then walk through the market and lake ghats. Photography is restricted in some sacred areas. A Savitri hill ropeway or sunset viewpoint can be considered according to weather and operations. Overnight in Pushkar.
Day 4: Pushkar to Ranthambore
Leave after breakfast for the longer journey to Sawai Madhopur. Planned refreshment and lunch breaks keep the transfer comfortable. Check in at the wildlife resort and keep the evening free for rest or a locally available activity. Cultural programmes or meals are optional unless included in writing. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 5: Ranthambore Wildlife Safari
Report with the same identification used for permit booking. Safari shift, zone and authorised gypsy or canter are allotted under forest rules and availability. The landscape supports deer, birds, crocodiles and other wildlife, but tiger sightings are never guaranteed. An afternoon safari or Ranthambore Fort visit can be planned separately. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 6: Ranthambore to Agra
After breakfast, travel towards Agra with comfort breaks en route. Check in and use remaining daylight for Mehtab Bagh, local marble craft or a quieter heritage garden. Keeping the Taj Mahal for the next morning usually provides a calmer schedule. Overnight in Agra.
Day 7: Taj Mahal and Agra Heritage
Visit the Taj Mahal near sunrise when scheduled and operational; it is normally closed to general visitors on Fridays. Continue to Agra Fort, then add Itmad-ud-Daulah, a heritage garden or market time. Entry tickets, guides and battery-bus charges are separate unless listed in the package. Overnight in Agra.
Day 8: Agra to Delhi and Departure
Drive to Delhi by expressway. For an evening departure, limited sightseeing such as India Gate, Qutub Minar area or Sunder Nursery may be possible after allowing for traffic and airport reporting time. Drop is at Delhi airport, station or hotel. For an early flight, add a Delhi night.
