Days 1–4

Jaipur, Pushkar and Arrival in the Blue City

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur

Meet the driver at Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or hotel and transfer to the selected accommodation. Keep the arrival plan flexible for transport delays and check-in. Early arrivals may visit Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum or Patrika Gate. An evening Pink City drive or walk through Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar introduces Jaipur's textiles, jewellery and snacks without making the first day tiring.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Start at Amber Fort before peak crowds, then stop at Jal Mahal for exterior photographs. Continue to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Add Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Panna Meena ka Kund or a craft demonstration according to pace. Tickets and guide service remain separate unless quoted. See our one-day Jaipur sightseeing tour.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 3: Jaipur to Pushkar

Drive towards Pushkar, with an optional Ajmer stop when agreed in advance. Visit Ajmer Sharif Dargah with modest clothing and follow local entry instructions. In Pushkar, explore the sacred lake ghats, Brahma Temple and old bazaar. Shoes and photography may be restricted at religious sites. Sunset can be enjoyed from a suitable lakeside or hill viewpoint depending on weather and walking ability. Compare our Ajmer Pushkar package.

Overnight: Pushkar

Day 4: Pushkar to Jodhpur

After breakfast, travel approximately 185–200 km to Jodhpur. With a refreshment break, the drive normally takes four to five hours depending on road and traffic conditions. After check-in, explore Clock Tower, Sardar Market or Toorji Ka Jhalra, or take a short Blue City walk. Save the main fort circuit for the next morning.

Overnight: Jodhpur

Days 5–9

Jodhpur, Jaisalmer Desert, Bikaner and Mandawa

Day 5: Jodhpur Sightseeing

Explore Mehrangarh Fort's courtyards, museum galleries and panoramic ramparts. Continue to Jaswant Thada and, subject to opening hours, Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum. Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Mandore Gardens or a guided Blue City walk may be added. Fort paths include slopes and steps, so carry water and wear comfortable shoes. Use our Jodhpur sightseeing cab guide.

Overnight: Jodhpur

Day 6: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Leave for Jaisalmer across western Rajasthan. An optional Osian stop may include a temple or pre-arranged village experience, but it adds time. On arrival, check in and use the evening for Gadisar Lake or a relaxed walk near the fort's outer lanes. Reconfirm the following day's desert-camp pickup, meals and activity schedule.

Overnight: Jaisalmer

Day 7: Jaisalmer Sightseeing and Desert

Visit Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples subject to access, Patwon Ki Haveli, Nathmal Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli. Later, continue via Kuldhara or an agreed heritage stop towards the dunes. Camel rides, jeep activities, cultural programmes and dinner are optional and depend on the selected camp and season. Confirm room or tent facilities in writing. Read our Jaisalmer sightseeing guide.

Overnight: Jaisalmer / selected desert camp

Day 8: Jaisalmer to Bikaner

Start after breakfast for Bikaner, a substantial intercity drive. Plan a meal stop and brief comfort breaks. If arrival is early enough, visit Rampuria Haveli street or browse the old market. Keep Junagarh Fort for the next morning so its palace rooms and museum areas are not rushed near closing time.

Overnight: Bikaner

Day 9: Bikaner to Mandawa

Begin with Junagarh Fort and choose either the National Research Centre on Camel or another agreed local attraction. Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok should be selected only after considering its religious setting and extra route time. Continue to Mandawa in the Shekhawati region. Before sunset, take a guided walk past frescoed havelis and old trading houses. See our Bikaner sightseeing cabs.

Overnight: Mandawa

Days 10–13

Mandawa to Udaipur, Mount Abu Overnight and Departure

Day 10: Mandawa to Udaipur

Depart very early because this is the longest road sector, approximately 400–430 km depending on hotel location and route. Use planned meal and rest stops and avoid major sightseeing detours. On reaching Udaipur, check in and rest. A short lakeside walk may be considered only if arrival is comfortable; do not depend on a fixed evening boat schedule after such a long drive.

Overnight: Udaipur

Day 11: Udaipur Sightseeing

Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari, followed by Fateh Sagar Lake. According to daylight and interest, add Bagore Ki Haveli, Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace, Badi Lake or the Vintage Car Museum. A Lake Pichola boat ride is optional and depends on weather, water conditions and ticket availability. Compare stops on our Udaipur sightseeing tour.

Overnight: Udaipur

Day 12: Udaipur to Mount Abu

After breakfast, drive to Mount Abu and check in. Visit Dilwara Jain Temples subject to current access rules, Nakki Lake and an agreed viewpoint. Temple restrictions may cover cameras, phones, bags and leather items, so follow on-site instructions. Boating is optional and weather dependent. An overnight stay allows a calmer evening than a same-day return from Udaipur. Explore our Mount Abu sightseeing cabs.

Overnight: Mount Abu

Day 13: Mount Abu to Udaipur Departure

Check out after breakfast and transfer towards Udaipur Airport or railway station, Abu Road railway station or another agreed point. Confirm the final drop when booking because journey time and fare vary considerably. Keep a safe reporting margin for hill traffic, road conditions, airport security and railway access. A direct Abu Road drop may suit some onward trains better than returning to Udaipur.

Hotel, Desert Camp and Vehicle Planning

The package may be booked as cab-only or with accommodation. Ask for room type, meal plan, camp facilities, taxes, tolls, parking and cancellation conditions in writing.

October to March is generally comfortable, while summer travel requires early starts and extra hydration. Mandawa heritage properties and Mount Abu hotels vary widely in access and parking; travellers with mobility needs should confirm lifts, steps and room location. Carry identification, medicines, comfortable shoes and sun protection.
