Days 1–6

Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur and Mount Abu

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur

Meet the driver at Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or hotel and transfer to the selected accommodation. Keep the first plan flexible for transport delays and check-in. Early arrivals may visit Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum or Patrika Gate. An evening Pink City drive or walk through Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar introduces Jaipur's textiles, jewellery and street life without making the arrival day tiring.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 2: Jaipur Sightseeing

Start at Amber Fort before peak crowds, stop at Jal Mahal for exterior photographs, and continue to City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal. Add Jaigarh Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Panna Meena ka Kund or a craft workshop according to pace. Monument tickets and guide service are separate unless quoted. See our one-day Jaipur sightseeing tour for practical stop details.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 3: Jaipur to Pushkar

Drive to Pushkar, optionally visiting Ajmer when agreed in advance. At Pushkar, explore the sacred lake ghats, Brahma Temple and old bazaar while respecting footwear and photography rules. Sunset may be enjoyed from a suitable lakeside or hill viewpoint according to weather and walking ability. See our Ajmer Pushkar tour.

Overnight: Pushkar

Day 4: Pushkar to Udaipur

Leave after breakfast for Udaipur with planned meal and comfort breaks. This is a substantial road transfer, so avoid adding major detours. After hotel check-in, enjoy a gentle lakeside walk or an exterior view around Lake Pichola if daylight remains. Keep fixed-ticket attractions for the next day rather than rushing close to closing time.

Overnight: Udaipur

Day 5: Udaipur Sightseeing

Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari and Fateh Sagar Lake. Add Bagore Ki Haveli, Sajjangarh, Badi Lake, Ahar Cenotaphs or a museum according to interest. Lake Pichola boating is optional and depends on weather, water conditions and ticket availability. Compare options on our Udaipur sightseeing page.

Overnight: Udaipur

Day 6: Udaipur to Mount Abu

Travel through the Aravalli region to Mount Abu. A Ranakpur detour can be added only when route time and temple visitor hours are confirmed. After check-in, visit Nakki Lake or a nearby market and choose a sunset viewpoint only if weather and arrival timing are comfortable. Dilwara Temples are better kept for the next morning.

Overnight: Mount Abu

Days 7–11

Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner and Mandawa

Day 7: Mount Abu to Jodhpur

Begin with Dilwara Jain Temples subject to current access, dress and queue rules, then drive to Jodhpur. Planned breaks are important on this long sector. After check-in, explore Clock Tower, Sardar Market or Toorji Ka Jhalra if time remains. Save Mehrangarh Fort for the next morning so its galleries are not rushed.

Overnight: Jodhpur

Day 8: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer

Visit Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswant Thada early, then continue west to Jaisalmer. An Osian detour is possible only with an early departure. After reaching Jaisalmer, check in and keep the evening light at Gadisar Lake or near the outer fort lanes. See our Jodhpur sightseeing guide.

Overnight: Jaisalmer

Day 9: Jaisalmer Sightseeing and Desert

Explore Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples subject to access, Patwon Ki Haveli and other selected havelis. Later continue via Kuldhara towards the dunes. Camel rides, jeep activities, cultural programmes and dinner depend on the chosen operator and season. Confirm tent type, attached washroom, meals and transfers in writing. Read our Jaisalmer sightseeing guide.

Overnight: Jaisalmer / selected desert camp

Day 10: Jaisalmer to Bikaner

Start after breakfast for Bikaner, allowing meal and comfort stops on this long transfer. If arrival is early enough, walk past Rampuria Haveli or explore the market. Keep Junagarh Fort for the following morning if its palace rooms cannot be covered comfortably before closing.

Overnight: Bikaner

Day 11: Bikaner to Mandawa

Visit Junagarh Fort and choose the camel research centre or another local stop according to interest, then continue to Mandawa. Take a guided heritage walk past suitable frescoed havelis and trading houses. Entry permissions and fees vary, and photography should respect private residences. See our Bikaner sightseeing page.

Overnight: Mandawa

Days 12–17

Mandawa, Jaipur, Ranthambore, Bundi and Departure

Day 12: Mandawa to Jaipur

Complete a priority haveli visit in the morning, then return to Jaipur. After check-in, keep the evening for rest, local shopping or a craft workshop. This buffer night also allows any Jaipur attraction missed at the beginning to be considered without extending the next Ranthambore transfer.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 13: Jaipur to Ranthambore

Travel from Jaipur to Sawai Madhopur after breakfast. On arrival, check in and complete safari documentation with the authorised booking provider. If time permits, visit a local craft centre, Ganesh temple route area or a suitable nearby viewpoint. Ranthambore Fort may require substantial walking and steps, so choose it according to available time and mobility. Keep original identification matching the safari reservation.

Overnight: Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur

Day 14: Ranthambore Safari and Local Sightseeing

Take a morning or afternoon shared canter or gypsy safari according to the confirmed permit. Zone, vehicle type and reporting time are controlled by the authorised system and availability. Wildlife sightings, including tigers, are never guaranteed. Carry the required original ID, follow the naturalist's safety directions and avoid loud noise or feeding animals. A second safari or Ranthambore Fort visit is optional and must be booked or timed separately. Review our Ranthambore tour package.

Overnight: Ranthambore / Sawai Madhopur

Day 15: Ranthambore to Bundi

After breakfast, travel to Bundi. According to arrival time, explore Garh Palace exteriors, old blue lanes, Nawal Sagar or a suitable stepwell. Palace sections, Taragarh access and stepwell conditions can change, so select stops locally and avoid isolated areas near closing time.

Overnight: Bundi

Day 16: Bundi to Jaipur

Visit the remaining priority Bundi attraction in the morning, then drive to Jaipur with planned breaks. After hotel check-in, keep the evening free for rest or final shopping. The final Jaipur night provides a safer buffer before Day 17 flight or train departure.

Overnight: Jaipur

Day 17: Departure from Jaipur

Transfer to Jaipur Airport, railway station, bus stand or another agreed city point according to the confirmed ticket schedule. For a late departure, luggage storage and a nearby shopping stop may be arranged. Keep sufficient margin for city traffic, check-in and security.

Hotel, Safari, Camp and Vehicle Planning

The tour can be cab-only or hotel-inclusive. A sedan is practical for two or three passengers with limited luggage, an Innova-style SUV offers families more comfort on repeated long drives, and a larger group can reserve a Tempo Traveller in Jaipur. Ask for room category, meal plan, desert-camp facilities, safari terms, taxes, parking and cancellation rules in writing.

October to March is usually comfortable, while summer travel requires early starts, hydration and careful wildlife-park planning. Mandawa heritage hotels, Mount Abu hill properties and Ranthambore resorts vary in stairs, lifts, parking and accessibility. Travellers with mobility needs should confirm room location and walking requirements. Carry identification, regular medicines, comfortable shoes, sun protection and a light layer for winter safaris.
