Keep around two to three hours for the fort, museum, viewpoints and walking between levels. Jaswant Thada
This white-marble memorial was built in the late nineteenth century in honour of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Its finely worked stone, portraits, garden and peaceful lake setting provide a visual contrast to Mehrangarh's sandstone mass. Since it lies close to the fort, both stops fit naturally into the same morning circuit. Allow 30 to 45 minutes, longer for architecture photography. Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum
Maharaja Umaid Singh commissioned Umaid Bhawan Palace in 1929 as a famine-relief project. Designed by British architect Henry Vaughan Lanchester, it combines Indo-Saracenic, classical revival and Art Deco influences. The complex includes a royal residence, hotel and public museum; a sightseeing ticket does not provide access to private or hotel areas. Museum opening arrangements can change during events, so verify them before fixing the route.
Clock Tower and Sardar Market
Ghanta Ghar was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh and anchors the busy Sardar Market. The area is known for spices, handicrafts, textiles and local snacks. Mandore Gardens and Optional Lakes
Mandore, north of Jodhpur, was the earlier capital of Marwar and contains temple-like cenotaphs, historic remains and gardens. Rajasthan Tourism lists Mandore among the city's major attractions. It typically requires another 1.5 to 2 hours with travel. Kailana Lake is a separate western extension suited to a relaxed sunset when daylight and road conditions permit; avoid overloading a standard city tour with both.
